Break–ups, even the coolest and smoothest of us are not immune to the heartbreak of a failed relationship. I mean just when you decided to go all in and “give up all that pussycat that was on your lap”, and be a one women man, it’s all over. The time and energy you invested has failed and effects are enough to take the strut out of the steps of the best of us.
When you end things with a chick that you were just fooling around with, you may be a little upset but for more selfish reasons. Like thinking about all of the guaranteed action you had set up waiting for you after hours will now come to an end. But we’re not taking about the casual sidepiece; we’re talking about your lady, your… “Lady-lady”. The one that met momma, and now the family, the friends, and social media will have to be filled in on your change of heart.
1. Be Certain.
Are you sure you want this… You sure you're ready to go down this path? This happens all the time. You and your girl are both emotional and rushed to see who could hurt whom first, so out of anger prematurely call things off. You might want to wait a minute or two and cool off before making any permanent decisions. If there is even a slightest possibility that the two of you are on a break and could potentially get back together, make sure you don’t do anything stupid in the meantime.
2. DELETE All THAT SH*T!!
Get rid of all the evidence and burn the paper trail. I’m talking relationship status, photos, IG, Un-follow. Don't pour salt into your open wounds every time you glance at the sight of her on your page. Especially something so convenient and that you look at everyday like Facebook. Besides, you wouldn’t want to give off the wrong impression to new potential women that stalk your social media.
3. Stay Active
Go to the gym, go for a run, play basketball, or read a book, just do something to keep your mind and body occupied. Plus, you’re back on the market now so you’ll have to get right and tight, or righter and tighter in the meantime. If you choose to listen to music, you’ll want to stay away from any songs that might depress you. No Usher let it burn and absolutely no Adele. Carefully construct your playlist that will lift you out of your slump.

4. Link Up With The Fellas.
No one will have your back like your boys, and no one will keep it real with you like they will. They’ll let you know if you’re right or wrong and in some cases encourage you to recover the relationship. But in most cases, they’ll be that precise wingman who’s mission is to get you over your previous relationship as quickly as possible.
You’re fresh out of a serious relationship, you’re not want to jump back into another so soon. It’ll take time to build up your strength and let your guard down again. Now this isn’t giving you an excuse to be reckless and go wild out. But you will need to ease back into dating, but be moderate and considerate. Comb through all of your options, like the one that would always give you that eye or the one your now ex never trusted around you. Confirm your intentions by letting them know you’ve just got out of a serious relationship and getting over the breakup and also that you're not really looking for anything serious “at the moment”, that’s how you’ll keep that door open for opportunities and keep a clear conscience.
There it is fellas, five of the easy tips to getting over a breakup. Follow them carefully and respectfully and you’ll forget all about what’s here name.
